Need help with traction!!
2008 NNBS 4.8 Extended cab
600 whp
I hardly get any weight transfer on launch, it doesn’t squat or separate lol it’s as stiff as a board and lights the tires up.
I purchased cal tracs and 50/50 shocks for the rear. I’m In the middle of a rear end swap. I’ve already removed the overload leaf. Should I remove the spring above it? That would leave only 1 leaf. This is strictly to get weight transfer so I can 60ft better.
putting weight in the bed did help with traction, but wouldn’t taking a spring out also help without having to add weight???

What are 50/50 shocks?
What tires do you have?

Now I am no traction genius or anything BUT I would suggest doing a shock relocation with the double adjustable shocks so you can really dial it in.
What brand and model of tires? If you are running some factory good years or something like that I would be looking to get a good set of tires.
Also I would think that removing another leaf would not be worth it. Removing the overload is a necessity but another leaf I think would give you some adverse effects

axle wrap EDIT: although I guess maybe not with the cal tracs. I don't know what kind of weight transfer that would gain you though
I am talking about rear shock relocation https://atomicfabandperformance.com/...ear-shock-kit/
EDIT: I think maybe look at the suspension and tires before looking at the weight transfer properties but maybe I am wrong. I don't know any that removes leaf springs to improve weight transfer. The bread and butter I see is cal-tracs and relocated shocks.
