I have some in mine, but I currently can't get under it to see which way they are. I am 99.9% sure its thick side to the back because when you give it gas the nose of the rear end will twist upward so you want it to point down when stopped. I don't think you need shims for just a shackle drop though.

By doing a shackle drop, you are raising the rear of the springs and angling the axle downwards.

I'd think that the fat side should go towards the front to angle the axle back up.

i just decided to put the thick side to the back, that angle the front on the axle up. got it all in tho and it lowered it exactly 2". I am very pleased with the drop, and it looks awesome. I will try to get pics up tomorrow.

Just for reference, I did a search and came up with this...
http://www.djmsuspension.com/Product...inionShims.htm
Basically it says, if your axle is below the leafs, then the thick side goes foward. If the axle is above the leafs, then the thick side goes back.
