I had to use the tool. along with a regular brake spring tool and two small pry bars. I will post pics of the tool up soon. the cost was only $36. it also helped when a friend of mine stopped by (the extra set of hands was useful)

I did one like that for a freind recently , I had never seen that set up However after about and hour screwing with one side I figured it out no special tool but i could never explain it, Did the other side in just a few minutes does take a little muscle though.

Holy Cow! I'm just gonna pay to have it done. No wonder my shop guy raised his eye brows when I asked if he had done the 05 rear drums yet.

I changed my before and it took 4 arms an assortment of tools and about all my patience! Needless to say I'll never do that again. PITA for sure
