Default Need 4l60e help asap!!!

OK I just found out that the transmission I put in my 64 prostreet c-10 is a 4L60e & NOT the 700r4 I thought I bought. I already have it installed & have the driveshaft made etc, etc.

I was told that this transmission MUST use a computer, which I do not have, nor do I know where to even begin.

How can I use this transmission behind a regular old school small block?? Any Ideas??

Thanks.
Steve

Would the full manual transgo shift kit not work in this application? It would really defeat the purpose of having an automatic but I believe it would allow the transmission to work without computer control. They are a "reasonable" 250 bucks though.

The 700R4 is exactly the same size and shape and you can find them everywhere. If you sold the 4L60E you have you'd have a nice chunk of a 700R4 paid for.
