Default My project for Friday

Since my boss said I could have the entire day off (we get out at 2p anyway since it's a holiday weekend), without having to use any leave time, I'm going to be wrenching on the truck.

Truck:

2006 Sierra, ECSB 2wd.

I'm going to drop it. Here is what I am going to do.

Rear:

Flip kit with 2in lift shackle

Carrier bearing relocate kit

Front:

Springs (2in or so)

Belltech Street shocks all the way around.

Thoughts?

I went ahead and spent the coin for a spring compressor. This thing has great reviews and is meant for a RWD vehicle. At a minimum, it should keep the spring out of my face.

Thanks Tim!

QQ - I already have a 2in drop shackle on it. When I flip it, will the drop shackle lift or raise it? (I've read conflicting things on this)

What overwhelmed you to make you put it all back together?

I'd be more than happy to help. When do you plan on round two?

Most of it was me being unsure of what/how I was doing it (even though I had read, read, read on what to do). I guess you could say, I was "in my head" to much.

I want to give it another whirl either this week or next.

I tried it again this past weekend.

No go. I guess I'm taking it someone and paying way too much to have it done.

/frustrated.
