Damn, I wonder if that's my problem. I can't get manually into 1st no matter how I adjust the shifter cable. If I can get it into 1st, than I cant get it into park. Hmm.

How did you re-program your PCM? I am gathering all the details for a 4L80E swap into my 2006 suburban and I am trying to figure out how difficult is it going to be to re-program my PCM.

Thanks,
-Raj

I still cant get my truck manually into first. The bracket I bought was the same one I already had. Ive tried adjusting my cable many times. I had to put a new Neutral Saftey switch on, which tells the trans what gear you are in from what I understand. I think i screwed it up when putting it on by not having it in neutral like it said (whoops). Could this be why i cant get it to stay in first? Sometimes I can jam it down and when I take off its in first but then quickly shifts to 2nd. I cant downshift into first and the cluster rarely will read 1st.
