Default Is it my 4L60E or PCM? HELP PLEASE!

Ive been having problems with my 2003 GMC with a 4.8 and auto for a while now. I had to cut out the cats cuz they were blocking up cylinders #2,6,8. then my trans started slipping so i bought a rebuilt trans. After that i never got 1st to engage and overdrive takes a while to go or it could just be going into lockup. The trans guy thoguht it was the tps (was reading 20% throttle when off) so i got another one, and it didnt help. He took the truck back and put on a new maf senser and that didnt help either. the only other problem there was code was the o2 senser cuz the catalytic converters are gone. he checked the valve body today and the valve body are good in the trans. he took it to an auto electrical place and all they could say was its either the pcm or the trans. Someone thought it was a misfire because the cats and the o2 senser, but its runs HEALTHY. The trans guy thinks its the pcm, and i can get one from a salvage yard for 50 bucks but its 107 to program it at the dealership. And im hoping i dont need it. the trans had first when i pulled the slipping one, so why wouldnt it have first with the rebuilt one? I hope its not the PCM im poor...Are PCMs interchangeable by code or anything? please help and if you need to ask me any questions feel free to do so, i will check this page constantly!

He rebuilds all his transmissions by the book, hes ase certified, and he offered me a 6month to 1 year warrenty. He said he will replace the trans if he has to but he doesnt think its the trans. Ps. a few days ago he called and said he found out what was wrong with it and said he found the check ball in the pan. come to find out there was an extra one in it.
