Had an 80E in my 98 silverado. I liked it alot better than my 60E. I am afraid the 60E will take a dump on me any day.

I'm having a built 60e installed by a local trans shop along with a trailblazer stall converter. I hope this one will take the abuse I give it.

I'm not sure what broke, but the trans shop has not called me asking for more money so all is good for now.

broke 5 of em here
please dont waist your hard earned money on a tranny place that just builds stock trannys and thinks they can build you a good built one...i did and it cost me around 8 grand....they do not warranty broke parts....you loose a input or out put shaft again and it will cost you a rebuild every time it happens...trust me...i know...

I don't know if I broke a output or inputshaft, I don't think I did. My truck is not a high horse power application.
