My first broken output shaft was so bad we had to hook a winch on a 4wheeler to the drive shaft and yank the DS out of the Transmission..

The second time we just hooked a rope to it and pulled it out with another 4wheeler... it was bad..
had to straighten the cross member that the center support bolts to.

Suprisingly the drive shaft is still straight and balanced.. GM has some good 2 piece drive shafts..
This was about 5-10 feet off the line. Flashed the converter from an idle. I guess 408+150 shot+ 4400 stall+ 12.5 sticky slicks+ outputshaft= If it would of made it to the 60ft it would of been a low 1.5 for sure!!

did you take any pics of the magnet in the tranny pan? Or was most of it too big to go that far

There is enough recyclable material in (what's left of) a 4L60-E to make 1260 beer cans.
