i wish i had pics of a 91 gmc sierra that came in the shop and the person tried to brake torque it and the trans bellhousing snapped and the transmission was on its side in the truck with a busted up driveshaft and a little bit of case left!

For the life of this truck? Theres no telling, probably around 20 or more. Truck has had a hard life.

No not yet, will put a billet shaft in it and see what she does. I build trannies for a living, just trying to see what this thing will hold.

Was this on the 1-2 shift?
Or did it just give up the ghost?

My first broken output shaft was so bad we had to hook a winch on a 4wheeler to the drive shaft and yank the DS out of the Transmission..

The second time we just hooked a rope to it and pulled it out with another 4wheeler... it was bad..
had to straighten the cross member that the center support bolts to.

Suprisingly the drive shaft is still straight and balanced.. GM has some good 2 piece drive shafts..
