Is use that cam in a 6.0 with some worked heads and roll with it of you're totally against a blower. An lq4 with those 243s you got would give you around 10.4:1 which should be good on 93 and lower timing for towing.

Im against spending 10g's to build another motor plus tranny + blower

I really want an ls2 for weight savings but an iron 370 would please me just the same

If you were going to put a blower on it, I'd say triple disk so you can build some boost in od locked up but since you're not I don't see any point in spending the bucks on a triple.

Pretty sure circle d doesn't recommmend locking the single under any real load conditions. The surface area just isn't there.

What do you consider under load?

great topic going here guys as i just got my Circle D 2800-3000 multi disc in. I dont know about towing without an upgraded cooler im seeing 185 and 210 temps when getting down on it. I have to tow a 6000lb trailer october 10th and i wont do it the way the temps are now. Im going to switch to AMSOIL tranny fluid for the 6L80E a 6L90E filter and a bigger cooler. As far as lockup goes im going to have to look into that. any input guys? will i need a computer all the time?

We have a new Stage II we are doing. Have not really released any details yet, but we have been working on it for a about a year. Designed it for the 258mm setups. It is still a single disk, but with a lot of clutch area. We get about 50 square inches. It was engineered to take bigger loads while towing. Sounds like it will be perfect for you.

The 6L80's run hot even with the stock converter. I think an upgraded cooler is a very good upgrade. Not sure what you mean by needing a computer all the time?
