Default Much needed upgrade..

After I've hit the 400+hp mark.. Truck has been eating up flexplates (stock) after my stock one went out, I was told by friends to get a sfi flexplate, but I didn't have the money to spend on a good one. So I just replaced it with a other stock one.. Well 250 bucks later for a tow truck to get me off the interstate & back home. I should have listened to my buddy. 200 bucks for a flexplate ain't bad compared to the 250 for a tow truck & having to pull the transmission again. Seems like I just had it down last month.

Anyway guys, Don't take chances like I did, if your changing converters or transmissions, upgrade the flexplate too.

I picked up a nice piece from Circle D.

Third times a charm - lol

Upgrading to an SFI Flexplate is a good idea. Worst case you wasted $150 bucks.

Unless the cover is cracked you would probably be fine just changing the seal. Either away around, much needed upgrade and Chris has a nice piece there.

I've got two bolts in the crossmember, four in the bellhousing and the cooler lines are hose... I can have my trans out in about 30minutes

Glad you're getting her back up and running man.

It's just rounded the aluminum over where the seal goes.. I could have fixed it, but I had a spare so I just bolted it up.

I had a spare.. Hope the SFI holds up, that's some thick *** metal & I'm sure it's going to tear some **** up..

I'm not that fast. Started @ 10 & was finished @ 2, with no lunch break
