Default Mcgaughys drop owners inside

I am about to purchase a 2/4 drop for my sierra. Are you satisfied with the quality and reliability of this brand compared with others?

Great quality products. I have had numerous Belltech products and currently have mostly McGaughy's parts for my current drop and theirs is right in line with Belltech's quality and fit. I think Belltech actualy ran into issues producing their 98-07 spindles beacuse they were supposedly a knock off of the McGaughy's spindles for the trucks and SUVs.

Do the spindle drop up front... not the spring drop.

I agree, if only going 2" lower, get spindles, not coils...

The only thing I did not like about mine is the self tapping screws to hold the brake lines on. One broke upon installation. That and running this kit with cal tracs I had to hack up the front hangars so my cal tracs would work.

I have a 2/4 drop on my crewcab and didn't have to drill out the rivets? If he is looking for the kit for his sierra denali, its composed of spindles, drop leafs, and drop shackles. No rivets to drill out.

I personally would flip the rear axle, notch the frame, and put a set of 2" lift shackles on it. This way you can maintain your towing capacity and still ride like stock.

I have a set of shackles coming off my truck at the end of the month, $43 shipped. They are 2" McGaughys.

have a 2/4 drop on my truck and no complaints from me 'cept that i want to go lower now.
i do bottom out on the rear axle but i plan to rid that my notching the frame.
one problem i've had is finding a good quality shock to go with it.
i am currently running nitro drop 2 shocks all the way around.

I run Edelbrock IAS shocks designed for the 2/4 drop. Rights better than stock. I am very pleased!
