Default Manual transmision 4wd to 2wd conversion

I have a chance to buy a 6.0 truck engine mated to a nv4500 trans and transfer case with all related wiring and accessories. I'm wanting to use it in my 47 chevy truck on an s10 frame.

Question: I's there any simple ways like a tail shaft swap that I can do to get rid of the transfer case and just make it a 2wd trans or should I try and swap someone trans that wants to do a 4x4 conversion. Im not waning to build a 4x4 47 chevy.

Woohoo! A fellow Rx7 Swapper. I had a 89 T2 LS1 swap and a 93 LS1 Swap (I'm on Norotors.com too under the same forum name), but I sold them awhile ago.

I don't have a solid answer You might have better luck asking that question over there, but I do believe you can swap out the tailshaft housing, similar to the way the 4l60's can be swapped.

Yeah I haven't had that car for 5 years. I built an LS1 fd and sold that then I bought an e36 M3 to swap but ended up turboing it instead. I still have it but now I'm building a 47 3100 truck on an s10 frame with some sore of LS motor. I'm Jparker7 on Norotors. Been a member since it was torqcentral back in 2004
