Default Manual Brakes

I was just wondering if anyone has run manual brakes on their 1500 or 2500 street truck?

I know manual brakes are popular for drag applications but I was curious if anyone does it on their DD. Back when I had a 1988 S10, 4 banger Iron Duke with a 4 speed- I had manual brakes on that and I loved them. I prefer the feel over vacuum or hydro boost brakes so I want to eventually put them on my 1500

I'm not sure I'd want that in a 5500lb truck.

That's part of the reason why I started this thread. I'm anxious to hear how you like them on the street.

Funny how some talk about manual brakes yet never drove a modern brake system with manual

Ive driven a few trucks ow with manual brakes...they stop solid...remember youre keeping same brakes just now pedal is firmer

Cocaines brakes feel like stock...any person could puah them with their arms

The 2 lightnings i did had stock pedal ratio and was firmer but stopped solid

I ran manual brakes with brembo's all 4 corners in a track car I raced for years and dd it all the time, I loved it! Stock brakes on a silverado might suck though. Its not nearly the same but will give you an idea is if you have a vacuum booster plug off your line and go slow in a empty lot and see how it feels
