It's more than a little ping. The tranny doesn't downshift when it should and when it does it jumps right back up to top gear.
If somebody does have some diagnostic equipment i would love to beable to determine what the problem is and help my tuner correct it!

Default Update 12-29-05

Ok, just got off the phone with Lyndon Wester and explained the situation. He say's it's an easy fix and will be sending out the modified tune today.

I'll give this a shot and see how she runs, but I may just toss the whole deal and start over with a custom dyno tune from Synergy motorsports in Freemont.

Noticed this morning that mine is pinging in third as well. I'll drop Westers a line.

Trever1t - did Lyndon give you any idea what he was going to fix or adjust?

Yeah, he said somthing about adjusting the shift tables and making it a little easier to downshift as well. I really understand nothing about these computer controllers. He said it was an easy fix, we'll see! Should have my new tune after New Years. I'll let ya know.

Default Update 01/05/06

Installed new PCM last night, had to do a key relearn but that wasn't too bad.

Tune shows marked improvement at 50-55 miles per hour, no ping, quick downshift feels appropriate. At 55-60 mph there is still a little hesitation to downshift and some (but way less) ping before speed increases or the tranny downshifts.
I can not hear any WOT ping, about 4 degrees were taken out of the tune. I think the gas in CA really sucks and is the reason i was getting some (very little) WOT ping.
I talked with Lyndon today, we agreed to let this tune "settle in" for a couple of weeks, but may tweak on it a little more.
Keep you posted!
