My G-80 clunked really loud when it engaged... but it did stop engaging so i replaced it with a Eaton LSD... It would engage on wet asphalt.. but not on dry asphalt.

ive got 171k miles on my stock U Joints.... you dont hear about ujoints goin bad on these trucks that much.

Ok thanks guys, i guess the first thing i do to this truck will be a trutrac unit and 4.10's

Also should the stock bearings be fine?

Dont chance it... do it right the first time... bearing kits are only $100 or so

Also, would a ring and pinion set for an 8.5 work with an 8.6? Bc im looking at randy's ring and pinion and the only gear sets are for 8.5's not 8.6's

Yea all the 8.625" and 8.5" is the same.... or atleast it will work just fine..

Ive got a set of Motive 4.10s at the house... im not goin to use them and they are new in the box...
