Well I am ditching the bbc in my 72 blazer and going with a LQ9. What all will I need to make the th 400 bolt up. I already have a new 2500 stall, will it work?

If you have a converter for a TH400, then yes it will work. You'll need a flexplate for a Gen III engine from either TCI or ATI, and it'll come with a spacer. Put the spacer right on the crank and then the flexplate on the that. It spaces the flexplate out enough so it mates with the standard TH350/400 converter. You'll only use 5 bolts to bolt the engine and tranny together. Your driveshaft may have to be modifed given where you place the engine, and the same goes for your cross member.
