Question lowering spindle OR lowering springs????

lowering spindle OR lowering springs????

Iam trying to put in a 2" front drop on my 03'sil5.3L SBSC, which one would give me the best overall ride quality, and i already know the springs are cheaper but would the spindles give me a better ride, and is it worth the extra money$$$.

I would think the spindles should keep the factory ride, and of course the springs will change the ride. Just depends on the springs.

try a search, there is alot of info on this site
but as you will see spindles=stock ride springs are stiffer and need good shocks for the best ride

i'd go with springs, put that extra money on a set of good shocks IMO.

I went with springs simply because I wanted to get a 3" drop in front. When I did my lowering kit that was the only way to go. I think McGauphys makes a 3" spindle now, but they are kinda pricy. I dont really have a problem with the way my truck rides from the springs, the rear end is what makes mine so bad. Bottoms out and is just rough, I have actually been thinking about a flip kit, or a C notch.

2" drop spring will ride like stock, contrary to popular belief. 2" spindle are good aswell. Either way is fine.

+1. I did 3" springs with new shocks. It's a harsh ride because of the stiff shocks I put in. It sure corners nice.
