Cool

Cut the springs as a last ditch effort I would say. It can and has been done but probably not the easiest or best idea.

You may be able to use a 2" drop spindle or LCA and a spacer under the spring to get your 1" back if you do not want to go with 3" drop coils.

Check out FullSizeChevy under the street forum. Lots of experience doing drops over there.

Good luck

Or you could use a spring spacer to get the 1" back.

I would use the McGaughy Spindle along with a 1" Hotchkins spring. You are going to have to either change the spindle or lower control arm if you want more than a 2" drop in the front.

Just curious, would a spring spacer be safe? If so, doing the 2" control arm/spindle and a 1" spacer would be the best bet.
