Default Lowering Kit for 99 GMC Sierra SCSB

I have looked into many different ways to lower my truck, but have yet to find a complete kit in which would suite my tastes for what I'm looking for in a kit. I would REALLY like to find a kit that consists of 3" drop spindles, with a rear 4" hanger/shackle kit so I can continue using stock suspension for ride quality. I plan on upgrading to a lowering shock which will probably provide more dampening (which is fine), but I really don't want bouncy springs in the front. I have been unable to find a kit with the parts I'm looking for, and yes, I could buy everything individually, but then the cost is sometimes greater, as well as shipping. So... with this said, has anyone seen a kit with what I'm looking for in it?

Thanks,

Tony

I've been looking for the same thing for my truck. Try DJMsuspension.com, I think that's where I'm gonna end up buying my kit.

Thanks for the link. I checked them out and looked at some of their prices... and from what I figure, it looks like it will be more to go that route then it would to just buy 3" drop spindles ($160), then buy the 4" hanger/shackle kit ($150) and shocks ($130). So the total that way is $440. At DJM the 3" lower control arms are $370, their 4" hanger/shackle combo is $220, and then i would still need shocks for $130. The total this way is $720. Any other input?

Just wondering how using a 3" drop spindle in the front is being a cheap ***. I could use a 3" lowering spring that will probably ride like crap and save even more money then what I am looking at now. You must be made of money or else you just spend it faster then you make it. All I was asking for is if anyone knew of a kit put together with what I was looking for (as as tried and true system) that I could buy and not have to piece together.

Unless your truck is a 99 Classic and not the NBS the spindles won't work. There aren't any 3" drop spindles for the NBS trucks. If you want a 3/4 then look into McGaughy's suspension. Get a 2" spindle with a 1" drop coil in the front then shackles and hangers for the rear and you're set. For the coils you can get a set of stock OBS springs, or you can cut half a coil on your stock springs to give you an inch.

You're right. The spindles don't even look remotely close, and anybody that makes a 3" drop spindle for a 99-07 is an idiot. That is sacrificing some serious structural integrity.

Those spindles must have been for the classic style truck. I have the NBS 99. I have been doing some more searching and found a DJM kit for $479 at this site http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts.aspx?partid=512202

I went with the DJM 4-6 kit. It's still in the boxes. If you get up this way you can check it out.
