Default Lowering the front end?

So ive done a little research around the forum and ive seen that most prefer spindles to lower, my truck is level now and all i really would like to do is lower the front a couple inches. With that being said would spindles be the way to go, and also while im at it, can anyone recommend a not so pricy shock for my truck. 02 NBS GMC sierra

with just spindles you use the stock length shock.

im using bilstiens $120 i enjoy them.

also, spindles are the best way to lower and retain factory ride
