Unhappy Loud thud in 2-3 shift...

About a month ago, my brother built his GMC's tranny along w/a 3400 PI stall so it wouldn't go with the nitrous, but he ain't happy with the 2-3 shift. The first shift (1-2) is nice and quick, the 3-4 shift is almost unoticable cus of the stall, but the 2-3 shift makes a loud clunk sound inside the transmission (very noticable inside the cab). Kind of feel like something hits something else inside the tranny. The guy that tuned the truck already removed the oil line pressure, but that didn't help.

Is this the way it should be? Has anyone had a similar experience? Any idea what could be causing this clunk?

Some of the things that went in the tranny:

*Alto HD Red Clutches... 3/4 Hi Perf Kit
*Transgo HD2 shift kit
*Corvette servo
*Superior OD Super servo
*Wider Band
*New Sun Shell
*Boost Valve

and some other stuff that I can't remember.

Any help welcomed

Hmm... The weird thing its that it doesn't do it on the other shifts just on the 2-3 shift and its pretty loud. Any idea what causes the clunk sound when it shifts?

My brother has only driven it about 100 miles... maybe it will go away once he gets some more miles on it.

BTW, the harder he gets on the throttle, the louder the clunk sounds.

We are gonna try to contact the mechanic who built the transmission and hopefully he can fix it with the warranty he gave my brother. I'll keep you guys posted of what happens.

Thanks for the help guys.
