Sucks to hear, sorry. How did it go out? Story?

Performabuilt and FLT are top builders that many of the members trust. I am sure people with experience will post up.

Do you have a trans cooler? If not, $125 is well worth it. Find yourself another builder ASAP. I dont have any suggestions for a stall but if your droppin transmissions by the handfull, I think I would go with something a little milder than a 3600. Just my 2 cents........Good Luck!

i was just driving down the interstate and had cruise set. Then it just revved up i hit the brakes turned cruise off and had no gears not even reverse. a few hours before i got a code. transmission component slipping. i cleared it not thinking to much of it. it came on again about 6 miles before it went out

well they were under warranty thats why i went back but between all my friends we have had about 10 transmissions from this guy. we found out he is putting cheap stock crap in them and selling it for the cost of the good stuff.

i have a stock cooler and it seemed to do the job untill recent its my dd and the temps up here have been over 100 for a while and it gets a little hot in traffic but not really hot. but with the new transmission i will have a better cooler put in as well.

I'm curious to see what parts are really in that tranny. Tear it down and at least it should have the beast shell, dual cage sprag, HD pump slide spring, .490 boost valve, and corvette 2nd gear servo or billet servo.

When installing a trans, be sure to clean out the stock trans cooler lines as to not contaminate your new trans. Some of my friends forget to do this and the trans goes out again.

I use brake cleaner and then blow out the lines with compressed air.
