About half way down the page. It's expensive, but it's the only piece I kept breaking in my 65e
300M Input Shaft, 700R4 Hardened Output Shafts
Are you referring to this shaft?

(#STS1. 4L60E Billet Heat Treated Input Shaft for LS1 Type Transmissions. Cost $549.00

* Fits: 1998 to 2002 LS1 equipped Camaro and Firebird
* 1999 to 2005 Gen III engine equipped V8 trucks including all 4L65E transmissions
* 2005 C6 Corvette )

Quite expensive shaft but I think I need to invest in one and keep it as spare because the shop is going to install everything tomorrow and I can't wait for the shaft to arrive.

Thanks for the heads up and letting me know.

I am thinking also to lower the boost to 11 psi, turning the Manual Boost Controller all the way down just to make sure I don't break anything until I am ready with the billet output shaft.

No, the out put shaft is what I kept breaking,

#700M. Finally a 300M output shaft for the 4L60E transmissions. 4WD output shafts are worse about breaking than a 2WD, because the longer 2WD shaft has a torsion bar effect. This shaft uses the late type oil seal on the front end. The 4WD shaft weighs almost four pounds.

4WD Cost $539.00 The top one is 4wd

Opps..

Thanks again. I almost was going to order the wrong shaft.

At what boost you turned the ET in your signature and what's the size of the DP you have on that S475? What's your exhust setup. Nice ET and MPH.

I made 12.6@110 last time at the track with conservative tune, lousy 60' and hitting rev limiter shifting from 2 to 3.

Now with better tune, I am making +110rwhp and +130rwtq more at the same 15 psi of boost. hopping I can break into low 11 or high 10.

15psi. LS1truck.com shoot out a few weeks ago, I made half a dozen 11.0-11.3 at 122-124 passes. My BW S475 has an 11blade billet wheel and race compressor cover. Making about 800 or so hp based on weight (5500) and trap speeds. Down pipe is 4" split at the crossover into duel 3" through 2 offset Magnaflow mufflers out the back behind the right rear tire.

My truck being stepside RCSB weighs 4290Ibs in stock form, iron block. Now, I have Aluminum LS1 block and I remove the spare tire at the track. Did not check the weight yet.

I was wondering how the hell a 4" exhaust pipe will fit underneath the truck and around the rear axle and where to find one. You gave me insight with those dual 3" exhaust pipes/mufflers.

Do you think a 3" exhaust cutout right after the DP goes horizontal and before the 3" muffler on 3" DP will help or come close compared to your setup?

I have the Edlebrock 4 inch duramax exhaust on my truck and it fits pretty good.

I have a billet 4wd output shaft laying around here somewhere if I can find it. I will look tomorrow and let you know.

Do you still have the transmission I broke those 2 output shafts with?

I do. It's going back to transformance soon to be fixed. I had a u-joint failure in my TA and it took the driveshaft, tailshaft and trans with it. Your STS kit is on my 98 S10 now. It has a lq4 swap with a ls6 cam and will be getting your old 4l60e when I get it fixed. LOL

Congrats on your new times.

How did you get it so light??? The 4x4's rcsb I've seen are in the 4850 with a 180lbs driver. Step side box really cant be that much lighter... I've heard they are actually heavery, but that was just a "heard" deal... 4290 seems less then the 2wd trucks... I know Stock48's truck with him and no spare or tail gate tips the scale at 4850...

The cut out should help I would think. I have a 3.5" cut out in the 4" section of my exhaust but I never unbolt it. I did it once on the dyno and only kicked up 12 hp.

Stepside, with fiberglass bed, is differently lighter than the regular bed box trucks.

I have the shipping & custom papers for my truck when I brought to home from the US in 2006 and it says the weight of the shipped truck is 1950KG (4290Ibs).

The reason I am looking into the 3" cutout is to remove any restriction that my 3" DP/3" muffler & all the way back 3" pipe might be creating. I don't want to change DP and my exhsust setup at the moment. I am leaving it to the time when I decide to go for bigger turbo with 3.5" or 4" DP.

I am going to put a second fuel pump and see if I can push the Magnum T76 to 18 or 20 psi being that my engine is only 5.7L. It has ARP head studs, so, it should take it with good fuel and good tune.

Is the 3" cutout going to require that I retune the engine. if I put it now?
