Looking for DIY traction bars
#1
I got some link bars i want to cut up and make some traction / anti axle wrap bars
i'm looking to know how long should they be? is there a cretin area on the frame they should be mounted to?
there another topic for he made them for a S10, I tried to message him and revise that topic no luck
the truck is a 2004 1/2 ton 2wd RCSB silverado lowered 4.5/6.5, I know cal trac and assassin bars but budget is low and I just like making stuff lol some swear by home made bars other say they bind my truck only has about 4 maybe 5" upwards travel its never off road if it was to bind I think it would be pulling in/out of a driveway
this is a link for the style of bars i want to make https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...n-bars-520409/
these are the bars I'm going to be using, there not double adjustable but I'm not planing on messing with them much (I hope)

i talked to a few guys that had them and say there a pain to install and dial in, I like the simple design of the bars that I'm looking to make and few say they plant the rear end better "if" done right

Yeah, they're right. I've heard the same about installation as well as dialing them in.
Long bars are the way to go.
What size tubing are the bars that you have?
How long are you looking to make them?
I have a bunch of DOM lying around, I may have some the same size. If you need some let me know. Just let me know the lengths and sizes.
I'll go check the diameters I have.
