Default Longer vs shorter ladder bars, 4 link, traction bars?

I have been looking but have never found a definite answer.

From what I understand longer ladder bars results in more weight transfer from front to rear.

Some have complained that setups like the grand national with the long links causes too much weight transfer and simply lifts the front end.

With a truck with very very little weight over the rear axle wouldn't it be more beneficial?

In particular in a drag setup.

What're your guys opinions?

This is not a 4 link vs ladder bar thread. Just link length.

What I've found on the almighty internet states shorter bars load the tires harder and are better if you're using high HP and street tires or a super light rear end

Longer bars result in more front end lift which is lighter on the tires but results in more weight transfer. good for real nose heavy cars especially with slicks because the extra grip doesn't require the vehicle to load the tires very hard.

This may all be wrong but I did manage to find it posted in a few different forums. in particular Gasser forums where guys run for 36-80" ladder bars
