Default Limp Stick

So I managed to blow the clutch in my 5 spd. I got it replaced and I don't know if it's my mechanics neglected this or a totally different issue. But my shifter doesn't retain in the middle. It moves freely and I have to search for third. Not much experience with trannys but any help would be awesome. Thx

LoL I think the centering spring sounds like it hasn't been installed properly or that it's broken. I don't know what the proper name is for it though.

Where are the springs located? Does the tranny need to be removed or can i pop off the boot to access it
