i know you probably have your heart set on leveling it, but you should really consider keeping it as it is. i have the same stance on mine and i have grown to love how it looks. it is also great for hauling 35 bags of concrete. i know it sounds stupid, but i love how the front is lower than the rear.

As far as the blocks. Arent tehy tapered? I dont remember for sure, but if they are, you would be fine removing them, and your pinion angles stayiong the same. I doubt the 1 1/2-2" would matter much anyway.

I went with Ford keys on my 1500. The ride did stiffen up a bit but I did not want to give up the higher stance of the truck changing / removing blocks. Either way, the truck will look better (IMO) after you level it

why would abyone pay more for a 4x4 and/or Z71 package and lower it? doesnt make any since to me. i have a 99 rc/sb Z, i got some new torsion keys from truckinsuspinsion.com , and be cause they are indexed better, i raised the front up 3 inches. and took the old 2 inch block out the rear and put fabtech four inch blocks in the rar and put on new pro comp 9000 shocks. the reaseon for the shocks is , Z71's come with bilstein shocks which ride stiff from the factory but are great shocks for towing/offroading and such. the factory shocks are stretched to their limits almost when u crank the torsions, so i got the procomp that are designed for1-4 inches of lift to give you the extra play and travel you need, and it rides good. and the added height i can clear 34 inch tires or even some 35's with my valance off, as of right now i have 33x13.50 swampers on stock wheels, and i dont rub one bit. but whatever you do dont lower it in my opinion.but whether u raise or lower it a couple of inches , ur pinion angle will be fine, just make sure your slip yoke is greased so it can work properly, and not make the "clunk" sound. and if u raise the front be sure to get an alignment.

You know for ummm better weight distribution. Yea thats it, better handling too.
