Default Level Out Ride Height

So I was talking to my dad, and I want to level out my ride height, but I need to do it right.

My truck sits high in the rear (duh) and I want to level it out. BUT Every other weekend usually we tow our box trailer which is pretty heavy on the tongue cuz of the cabinets and stuff for our dirtbikes.

So thats my problem. I dont wanna just throw some lowering shackles on the rear and keep the stock shocks cuz Im afraid my truck will be bottoming out and hitting the bump stops...

So I was talking to my dad and she suggested air shocks. So we could up the pressure when we need to tow the trailer and let some out for normal driving.

Would this be a good solution? Anyone have any other ideas? And I didnt think about putting bags on it cuz if I can get away with the air shocks and shackles, I figured it would be a lot cheaper.

What do you think?

More info!!! Are you 4wd or 2wd? If you are 4WD I'd get some torsion bar key ways and lift the front a little.. If you are 2WD I'd just put some shackles on the rear and call it good, should be fine towing..

Its a 2WD.

Im pretty sure we already have tortion bars if im thinking about the right things. We have a load distributing hitch and it has those bars that go from the hitch to the tongue of the trailer.

The front of our trailer is really heavy. We have three full size cabinets in the very front that are full of parts and stuff and a tool box.

I dont really want to raise the front to match the rear... I'd rather lower the rear.

shackles
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-04...m310049097160&

hangers
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-06...m130219860927&

either of these will lower the back of your truck 2 inches, shackles are obviously cheaper and a lot easier to put on (takes maybe 20 minutes to do both sides)
