I've heard just the opposite. I guess it's all in who you talk to. I do know that we just picked up an account that will never use them again.

and they are they have hooked me up more than once. I'm sure I owe Vince and Chuck a beer or two by now
-just remember while their product is still #1 in my book, customer service is everything. Thats how a lot of companys have kept business even with "sup-par" products... its all in how you treat your customers and take care of them IMO...

The rebuilt kit I used for the 4L80-E came from them. I don't know how they build transmissions but the kit was complete.

They built a 200R4 for my 85 Monte (I removed the trans and brought it to them)...the thing didin't last 200 miles before it blew up. (this was around 1998, not sure if they're still owned by the same people). It actually blew while one of their guys was roadtesting it with me to confirm that it was fubar. We got it towed back to their shop and they removed and rebuilt it a second time, and it still wasn't right. Used to go into lock-up too soon and start lugging, not to mention they dented my hood and bent my y-pipe (Edelbrock TES) during the install. I installed a manual override switch for the lock up so I could turn it on myself on the highway...I didn't want them touching the car again. Less than a year later, the trans was on it's way out again when I traded the car in for my current truck. From my experience, I would not recommend them to anybody...I've talked to a few people with similar experiences with them and it's all been negative. I can actually say, run away and don't look back!!!!

I guess I'm one of the few who has had pretty good luck with them. I had a Level10 in my other truck without any problems. It ran like a champ, until some drunk ***** hit me .

Doesn't sound too good to me.

Keep in mind that a place that can build an OK tranny for a 3000lb car may not be where you want to get a tranny for your 6000lb AWD Denali.

(I have a FLT level 5 in the Hoe)

Can't remember, but I believe I dumped somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 to 3 grand at the time...which would have bought me a perfectly good reman straight from GM that I could have put on the bench, put a shift kit in, and swapped verters with But I was dumb and lazy, and decided to let the "pro's" do it...never again.

*EDIT*...never again meaning Level10...if I had the coin and didn't have a 5 month old baby girl at home, I'd be ordering a built FLT 4L65E in a heartbeat...everything I've heard here has been super positive. Keep up the good work FLT.
