Why? I'm asking seriously. What do the 2 extra gears do for a daily driver that make it better than a 4 speed auto with OD?

As much as I hate 6 speed autos........it's funny as both my daily drivers have them. See my sig. They both just seem like they are hunting for the correct gear all the ******* time and it annoys me. Especially my dodge that is probably a little over 1000 ft/lbs of torque. I want to do a 48RE swap in that thing bad. It would drive so much better.

The tahoe is a ******* joke with the stock 5.3 in it. Zero *****. Slight throttle on the highway ends up having to drop like 2 or 3 gears just to pass people.

Just noticed my tahoe isn't in my sig. It's a 2010 Texas Edition Tahoe with a 5.3 that I bought brand new. It only has 55k miles on it. My dodge just rolled 100k miles. I also bought it brand new and before it's first oil change I had the mods listed.

My car from 2010 has 8 speeds. You would probably eat your gun driving it Its not bad though. 70mph and the V8 puts at 1000rpm. 30+mpg highway for a V8 aint bad.

Doesnt GM have a 10 speed coming out?

I personally really like the way they shift, giess just personal preference, but i drove a tahoe for a couple days when i bought my yukon, waiting on dealer to do what they had to do and kick myself for not holding out for one with a 6speed to begin with all things being equal between the two the tahoe was averaging 16-18 mpg.... My yukon i am lucky to average 12-13 out of most of the time.....im sure the tahoe was geared differently and was a little newer but both had right at the same mileage and both had same engine

Don't you work at a dealer?

There is probally different shafts between truck and car applications and they probally accidently list the 4wd as a 2wd.

I meant to get the OEM part number and description. They often give dimensions and you can match up from there.

Wow, that is tough to read... the descriptions on those is almost useless. No wonder they don't have a better description on the other site.
