Didn't figure it would just a thought. Guess I'll just baby it until I can get it tended to. Any of you guys know of reputable trans shops in the Texas panhandle region preferably closer to the lubbock area? I haven't heard of or found anyone around me that deals with 6l80's or upgrading them

Well my only problem with me doing it is down time with learning and getting the work done without hiccups because it's my daily still at the moment since I changed jobs a few months ago and no longer have a company truck. Yea circle d is here but they on the complete opposite side of the state I had planned to eventually take them the truck or freight the trans to get fully built but it's just not an option to have anything done with them at the moment due to funds and spare transportation unfortunately

If you can take a weekend and just do it its fairly straight forward... Hardest part is not getting trans fluid in your face checking the valves....and keeping the center support seal inplace as you get the valve body back up.... Drop it friday night separate it run to dealer saturday morning and have it back together and running (even if you install a zipkit) saturday afternoon... Just make sure you have an inlb torque wrench and a good 7, 8, and 10mm socket... If nowhere near as daunting a task as most older valve bodies are

Wolftrk99 is right! Those 6l80e trans are pretty easy to work on! Especially the valve bodies! You could have that thing out in 20min. Where the VB bolts to the trabs there's only rubber o rings that it mates to, pretty simple design. I've got a guys number over in Arizona I believe that rebuilds them, and there's only a few things that need to be welded on and for the most part they're good to go! That one I replaced in the 416 f1 setup I built has held up really good so far! And that car gets driven!
