Ya know come to think of it, they do like throwing that 3k stall out there, lol!!! though i do believe they recommended the 26-2800 on mine!! Have to go back and look, if it werent for everything i am doing at once, and finances being all sorts of f'd at moment id have gone with the 2600... Ended up with the $144 reman transtar unit for the moment!! That reminds me i need to go turn the core in...

Its probably a blanket middle of the road safe bet, that the majority of people building stuff fall into... Id like to find a 24-2600 or so for my 6l80, but really need to see how it reacts with the cam ive chosen, this is still my DD and i dont wanna have to be trying to drive in traffic sounding like im racing the engine all the time

Decided to go with a trucool 20k cooler, advertised measurements are 8.75x11x.75,and it has the 3/8 inverted flare fitting for the quick connects, not planning on towing anything and its bigger than the factory aux cooler, we will see....and quite a bit less expensive than the 40k

Umm no between birthdays and the two jobs and my girlfriend working overnights.... I have every intention of getting the engine and trans bolted together and ready to drop in, really want to get this finished in next week or so.... Planning to install shifter and get cluster ready to swap and program this weekend... Want to have to point of unplug 4speed cluster and plug 6 speed cluster in program it and have that end of it ready to go....

Question if you guys have any ideA what this issue might be? So it's only done this a few times now in Drive if I'm cruising around 20-40 and give it wot it'll drop a gear pull hard as hell like it should but then redline and never shift unless I let out of it and get back into it? So last night I manually put it in 2nd and made a full pull and shifted it at 6k and shifted fine then made a full pull in 3rd same thing worked fine and I'm at a complete loss of what it could be if it's possibly in the tune or if something is trying to give out in the trans or what I'm not super knowledgeable when it comes to the tranny any thoughts or diagnosis would greatly be appreciated thanks. Only seems to have this problem in drive and I haven't been able to catch if it's when it drops into 1st or into 2nd that's causing the trouble and doesn't want to shift out and it's done this with low trans temps 128-135 as well as in the 160-170's

That sounds like a possible internittent stuck valve in the valve body. Could also be an issue with the tune and wot shifting, need to see what gear it is dropping into first, and go from there...
