Default leaf spring shifts and hits tire

Hey guys, got a problem. The bottom springs in my leaf pack keep shifting over slightly over time and eventually far enough to hit the tire. I caught this a few months ago before it started touching the tire, but last night I smelled burning rubber and sure enough...

The ubolts are tight as hell, and there isnt rust between the leafs. How the hell do they keep shifting?

I made this as a temporary fix using 3/16" plate and 3/8" bolts, but I may drill through the leafs in a second spot and bolt it (next to the center pin) as a more permanate fix, but wtf?

that is a great idea. beleive it or not when you get on it really hard the rear end actually pushes out to the side. a pan hard bar will take care of that, keeps the rear centered at all times
