Default Launching Technique

Hello everyone,

I recently installed my FLT Level 5 tranny to my STS 04 Yukon XL Denali AWD. I do not have a stall on my torque converter since it was recommend not get due to the heavy towing I do with my truck. I would like to get input from everyone on what is the best way to launch the truck at the track. Before my new tranny I usually launch the truck by stomping on the throttle. Power braking doesnt work for my truck since the rev limiter kicks in at 2000rpm when brakes are applied. Also when I do this technique the truck will bog down during the launch. Any suggestion would be greatly apprecaite.

Have Brake Torque Management (BTM) disabled in the tune.

With mine it would do something similar, I found it better to Roll Onto the throttle instead of just mashing it to the floor after releasing the brakes...

I brake stall mine up to 1000 and punch it. Thats how I got my 1.80 60ft. I think that works better because it does not preload the suspension as much. The torque converter will flash higher that way too. If you have traction problems roll the pedal down.

As soon as the staging lights are on, I start rolling into the throttle, with the plan to have the truck push through the brakes at the same time the light goes green. It's WAY hard to time out and cut a good light, but I don't bracket race much so R.T isn’t very important to me.
