Ok, so heres the deal. I can grab 1-2, 3-4 all day. 2-3 Shift is horrible/not even a option above 5k. Doesn't grind, just doesnt go into gear.
With that said, when I shift 1-2 and the trucks not moving, I can still here the syncro's working to make it happen.
Clutch engagement feels fine, about 3-4 inches off floor. However, with that dragging sound seems like clutch is dragging. Is that whats killing my 2-3 shift?
I have't done the clutch line mod, kicking myself for not doing that when I swapped in this junkyard, 25k mile used 3500. Any one done this mod and it really helped out?
Also think about tossing this in to be used with the stock flywheel, pressure plate to stop the dragging.

My only fear is after all this, it still won't go into 3rd.
Thoughts? Thanks

It is a problem with the internal rail linkage. After a few hard shifts it gets worn and won't shift hard anymore. It's not a problem with the early NV3500's in the 90's models but a problem when they updated it in the 2000's. Those transmissions are very strong but just can't handle a hard and fast 2-3 shift too many times. You just have to shift it slow, even when giving it hell. It's hard to do I know.

It's just the fitting at the end of the line going into the master cyl. You can drill it out if you are having shifting issues at high rpm and it may help. There is a restriction that won't let the clutch release fast enough.

So the trucks have the same issue as the f bodies
