Koni shocks?

Default Koni shocks?

guy at the local speed shop tried to sell me on some koni shocks over the street performers. Any one heard of or had any experience with koni?

he talked about how there the **** and thats what nascar and indi cars run. one set that had adjustable rebound/stiffness.

opinions...?

I know a lot of guys in the Texas A&M Sports Car Club used to run them when I went to school down there. Granted, most of them were autocross nuts, but a few of them did laps at TWS, too. They all run cars, too, so that could be a difference.

Just google the name if you want to ask them directly

the konis would be a waste on a truck....they are more for the autocross/roadrace guys

They are great shocks. I love them on my 02 Z28 (that I road race).

But, yeah, if this is just a street truck it may be overkill. On the other hand if the price is similar, adjustable shocks let you tailor to suit your tastes in ride.

well how much were they? It would be cool to see a budget adjustable shock that is better than the adjustable rancho unit. Better launching ability with adjusting shock settings. interesting

they were about 90 bucks a piece.

i guess i'll be the guineapig.

do you want soft or stiff out back for launching?

A 2wd will want as much weight transfer as possible, soft. I have a set of QA1's available (shamless plug here)
