JGP RCSB rides rough. Is this normal?

It's -6 deg outside tonight and I don't want to go take a picture of mine, trust me, something isn't right with yours and either the dealer needs to put the right one in, or you trim it down so that only 1 1/2 ribs are exposed. On the GM HI-TECH PERFORMANCE TRUCK they cut the Jounce bumper down like this after they decided to lower it a couple inches....

They could have a petrified crooked mushroom under there that came from Yugoslavia because they were out of stock on the rubber one's at the time for all I care. I like the way mine rides, handles, and sits. That's all that matters. I don't care how that snubber looks, it isn't hurting a thing. I'm not touching it.

Just my $.02

The kit they sell on the website lowers 1" in the front with coils and 3" in the rear with hangers and shackles. It shows new shocks too......

I don't think mine has coils but i'm not sure. That may explain why the snubber is squished out. The ride feels rougher than just shocks could make it.

All you need is one rib exposed on the jounce bumper, I would trim them down. Your ride will be much better.

Doesn't GM require larger jounce bumpers for trucks w/ 20's?? I remember reading something about that.

This may be true, however I can't imaging wheel size having anything to do with the length of the jounce bumper, I can see ride height affecting jounce bumper length though.... GM Doesn't actually rely on these stupid bumpers for the front suspension do they? I thought these were solely intended so the suspension doesn't bottom out, they don't actually work as "spring" in the suspension, do they?

I want to take a picture of my jounce bumpers for you but again it's too damn cold. I know they look absolutely nothing like the ones you have. My truck was special ordered by Regency as a truck to be converted into an RST, however since they didn't sell enough '04 RST's, mine was a leftover that was never converted.

I looked on JGP site and they do show the 1" front/3"rear drop kit with the shocks, same bumpers and springs so JGP probably did change them from stock.

You would think there would need to be some space to allow the shocks to travel up/down. A firm ride would be good, but a rough ride doesn't seem right to me.
