Default Interesting explanation on how PWM TCC works.

I've been researching transmission tuning, 4L80E swapping, segment swapping and relay setups.

Anywho, I found this:

I had my tuner DISABLE this feature when I did my 80e swap.
Also My 80e converter, I spoke with the owner of the manufacturer. And was told PMW sucks, and shortens converter life. I was suggested to tell the tuner to disable that feature. for double converter life almost.

I also hardwired my 80e to run on the 60e segment, and I use just 1 relay as I do not command the PMW. Which would have required me to use 2 relays.

I'm revisiting this subject trying to determine if I should run PWM or not. I'm in the middle of my 80E swap right now.

How is it driving with PWM disabled? I'm leaning towards disabling it in the tune and running a 1 relay setup with my 80E swap.

You can run PWM on a single disc converter, but cannot use PWM on a multi disc converter.

That said, I don't usually like it on a single disc either. My opinion is that it can wear the lockup clutch a bit more, and I like the solid lockup feel.

Ditch it I even had them disable it on my 6L80E when it was tuned the tranny's way happier without it.

Im not sure how yalls tunes are setup but i just redid mine this evening. My stock 4L80E converter is runnin on the 80e tune. I have it set to not lock over 25% throttle and when it does lock it feels like another gear. I hated the bog of when it locked while accelerating.
If i go 0 to 25% throttle off idle, it will lock up perfect at 70mph and the rpms dont drop but a couple hundred.
