Those of you who have installed Caltracs on there trucks did you have to drop youre gas tank to get the bolts out where the springs & bushings mount to the truck that bolt looks so damn long.

 

Yes most people loosen the gas tank a little to get them.

 

Thanks for the Reply it looks like the damn muffler is in the way on the other side I cant win.

 

I had to loosen my tank quite a bit, but I didnt actually drop it, hope that helps

 

Every little bit helps I finaly got the Eaton installed wendsday now I just need to find time to install the Caltracs & the Boost gauge then comes smaller pulley new tune and a 65e with a stall I sure hope all this gets me into the 12s im tired just typing all this im just blabbin away anyway

With the nitrous out of the hole I get really bad wheel hop with my fatter tires under the rear.

 

For me the spring clamps cured the wheel hop.

 

for those bolts i have heard of people cutting them and getting new ones and putting the new ones in in the opiset directions so you don't have to mess with the gas tank.
