When I did the one on my blazer I used Nylon Mounting Rods. Work great and they slide right through the fins on the radiator, so you can position it wherever you want.

My local napa had some. They come with the electric fan kits. So when I saw them in there I picked up another set for my trans cooler.

I've never liked the nylon mounting rods myself, I don't like the idea of strapping anything to the delicate fins of the radiator...just my opinion.

I agree about painting the cooler, that's what I did with my PermaCool, just a quick coat of flat black and now all you can see are the hose clamps...I've thought of shooting them with a shot of black too.

Is that the 40K TruCool?

i think ill leave my cooler the way it came, the paint will take away from the efficiency of the cooler

lol, not anything noticeable at all. These things would still be efficient with 5 coats of paint on them.
