Default Installed Air Lift helper bags and Smart Air controller

Got some more work done on the truck this weekend. I figured with the new lower stance and removal of the helper springs I had in the rear that I will have sagging rear end issues when I tow. Installed some RideControl bags and a Smart Air auto leveling system this weekend....should take care of any problems that I may have had.

Compressor and electronics mounted under the hood

Tucked the exhaust valve back behind the compressor.

I've tested it with the truck on jackstands...seems to work well. Won't be able to really test it until I get the tranny back into the truck, but it should work well.

Looks good. Now you can adjusts the pressure at track to see if it will help you get better traction.

Yep

I haven't done it yet but I'm planning on putting a manual fill valve in as well so I can unplug the electronics and pump up the bags on my own for the track.

Have you towed the boat yet, if so, how did it tow?

I'm considering adding something like your setup after I do my 2/2 drop.

Nope...truck is still on jackstands with no tranny for another week. I'll update the thread once I get a chance to tow with it.

Guess I forgot to update this thread, lol.

Here's a pic with the bags inflated

Here's a pic with the bags empty....it's about 1.5 to 2 inches lower.

When towing, the back of the truck actually firms up, rather than getting "squishy" like it used to, even with helper springs. The truck stays exactly at the same level as with the trailer unhooked. I really love the auto-level system. I don't have to do a damn thing to make the adjustments

Overall, this was a fantastic mod. Highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about it.

I just installed the Airlift "slam air", lowered truck air springs. 100% satisfied. Didn't help at the track tonight, but the ride quality was better.
