Info on Floor Shifters for Automatics...
Theres a guy I do work for that has an old ranger... he didnt do much with it. Its kinda his bullshitting vehicle so to speak...but anyway, he put a floor shifter in it and i thought it was a pretty neat idea. I forget who it was on here.. but it was either flipper or someone who did a floor shifter conversion.
My question is, where is a good place to get one and how difficult is the conversion? I was looking on jegs and found one for around $178. The one my freind has is a "touch" shifter. Instead of moving the shifter around like a manual you just hit the shift **** up or down and it will shift immediatly.
If anyone has some info on this it would help. I have a pretty good idea on how to remove the column shifter.. but is there a shroud i can buy to replace the stock one on the steering wheel to get rid of that empty gap from where the column shifter used to be.
Thx in advance
