Just thought I'd throw $0.02 at ya'll for comparison purposes. BTW, my Yukon hauls from a stop for it's size... enuff to turn 15.9s 1/4 mile at about 80-sumthin mph (bone stock).
You have the same size tires as me and the supposed same gear ratio. Yet I'm turning near 400 more rpms at the same speed.

I am putting it up on the lift tomorrow to change the oil, I'll spin the tires and check that out while I'm at it. I just cant believe they would mis mark or put in the wrong gears. Thats just horrable workmanship, they dont even know what parts are going where.

If I do end up having 4.10's and not 3.42's, I'm calling GM first to see what they will do. Then If I dont like there answer I'm calling every newspaper, magazine, and TV station that will listen. All GM needs right now is alot of negative press about how there vehicles are being put together with what ever parts are laying around.

just do the mph x gear x 336 divided by the tire size. that will give ya the gears. For instance do 60mph x 373 x 336 an divide it by the tire size. Make sure to do it in 3rd gear. It works, 2592 rpms with that number, gear and 29 inch tire... If you are doing about 2600 rpm at 60 in 3rd you have 3.73

Went for a ride with 4.8T who has 3.73's also.

I HAVE 4.10's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was turning 1850rpms at 70 and 2000 even at 75mph.

How the hell does this happen? I cant believe a mistake like this could be made, and I dont want to turn my Yukon over to the dealer for 2-3 weeks so they can swap gears. I think its total BS!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe they could shut me up with a new Denali. LOL j/k.

Are the final gear ratio's in the transmission's the same in all trucks. If not, that could be the difference.

Maybe some1 had a deal going on with the dealer and they asked the 4.10s to be installed, but at the end he might have gone to another vehicle or just didnt work out. i have 265/70/17 on my truck and i turn a little bit over 2000rpm at 70 and about 2300 at about 75 i have 4.10s
