Default A Couple Questions...

Would all these components apply to an '88 thru '98 GM truck?. Can an LS1 style power-steering pump be utilized in this system, as I see only the Delco style pumps in the photos? If your tooling down the highway, and your engine stops running, say you run out of gas or an electrical/computer issue surprises you, will you still have manual, unassisted brake capacity? By the way, great write up. Thanks

Yes...you still have brakes if you lose power.

Im going to the salvage yard tomorrow to pick up a 14bolt sf, and want to grab some stuff for this while I am there.

All I need is the hydroboost, master cylinder, and optional power steering pump, right? Just get the lines new from autozone, aap, etc?

I am a bit confused about the vacuum cap....the pictures arent showing up so could anyone clarify that?

edit: eh they are cheap as hell anyway.

Vacuum cap? Don't know what you mean. Maybe someone just means to cap off the fitting on the intake where the old brake booster vac hose went? Not needed with the HB setup.

Grab the lines if you can! Probably won't charge extra for that. Especially grab the non-pressure return hose from the HB to the pump. Dealer only item

I used the HB to Rack hose from a van. Worked great.

Yea, vacuum cap for the port on the intake where the break booster vacuum hose was.

I got the parts today from a 2006 tahoe for $150 for everything

The cylinder on the hydroboost looks bigger than others posted in here?

What is that motor thing on the pedal?

Those all the hardlines I need?
