how would 3200 vigilante for an ls1 react to a 5.3?

Great price on that converter! Will work good, but you will need at least 3.73's or 4.10's.
I prefer the 4.10's personally. I just installed a TCI 3000 converter in The Wood Hauler's truck which is an '02 rcsb with a 4.8 and also a transgo hd shift kit and it work's great! It will make your truck launch much better and minimal drop off when it shifts. Well worth the money.

Did you go from 3:73 to 4:10? Was it a good difference off the line? I have 3:73 in my truck and a set of 4:10's on the way with an Eaton LSD. Just curious how you like them.

i love the 4.10 gears swap i went from 4.32's it makes daily driving seem like butta, not that it wasent easy with the 5.3 and the lil lightweight rclb(for a fullsize) i dont see over about 1500 rpm in the city driving and i'm first out the light head of the pack lol
i dotn think 3.73 to 4.10 is worth it but the eaton is going to be a good mod for ya(that was my very first mod to the truck)
thanks tiburon i think i'm gonna pick it up monday ot tuesday then after i get paid

It really all depends on your combo and tire height I guess. I think that 4.10's will be a little quicker off the line, but they will also put you at a higher rpm going through the traps which is good too. I don't know if a person already had 3.73's if it would be worth it to swap though. You could run a little shorter tire and get the same difference.

I measured my tires today. My 24's are 32 inches tall. I have 3:73's so with the tires it feels like 2:73's
I am hoping the 4:10's will offset the big tires. I almost went 4:56 but thought that might be a litte much if I were to switch back to the stock 16's.
