Default How much for a suspension install

So I’ve been getting quotes on installing my suspension (Joe Gibbs 1/3 drop). It's a pretty simple kit; bump stops, 4 shocks, 2 coils, few minor replacement parts. I figure a professional with the right tools and a lift could do this in 2 hours or less. So this shops quotes me install and alignment. How much do you think it would run? Hmmm Yeah, I just got quoted $830.00. Kiss my mother #v@k!ng a$$!

you should find another member that lives close to you and have them help. Just buy some beer and snacks.

what's going on the back? shackles/hangers?

why not do it your self you can rent spring compressors for cheap at autozone then get most your money back when you bring it back all you need is a good floor jack and hand tools.
but make sure you get the alignment after.

I was planning on it but Arizona is just Africa hot. I hate working on cars here. But I think I might do it. It says I need to drop the fuel tank....

Cool

When I did the shackles and hangers on the back of my truck I managed to squeeze my hand in and get the bolts in for the hanger on the driver's side without dropping the gas tank. It was a really tight fit but I managed. The one bolt I could not navigate into place I used a little reach extender with 4 wire fingers to position and hold the bolt while I threaded the nut onto it. The reach extender is a tool with a flexable stem and a plunger on the top and is about a foot long. When you push the spring loaded plunger four wire fingers with the ends bent 90* extend out. When the plunger is released the fingers retract and pinch whatever you have placed between them. It took some doing but seemed easier than undoing the tank and moving it over.

All you have to do is support the tank ( preferrably near empty ) and undo the fasteners. Then just move it over enough to get your hand in to do the bolts to fasten the hanger on with. Anyway don't let that intimidate you as it may not be as hard as your think if you are properly prepared.
