Good lord. You're paying WAY too much money for transmissions lol

I build 1000 hp 80e's for less than 2400 lol
5k for a 60e...good lord

I can see why you personally went 80e swap. But when I price out both builds for customers...the 60e price is better

My $ train:
3 X 60e builds averaging $2,400 each
converter $750
Total wasted: $7,950 (not including tow truck / pissing off the wife, etc...)

80e - donor $350
Jakes Stage III Kite $1,200
Circle D triple disc - $950
Rebuild labor $600
dirttrackracer mount - $140
Slip Yoke - $85
Braided cooler lines - $100
Total: $3,425

Piece of mind...priceless.

Not saying a solid 60e will last under a mildly built truck with someone who drives reasonably but I can't claim to be the later and I plan on pushing my transmission hard every time I drive her which is only about 5k a year so...

If i blow this trans i will def go with a 80 for all reasons above. My FLT has served me well and i know the limitations in a heavy *** truck. I just dont have cash to do a 80 swap now.

Compare the internals of a 60e vs 80e side by side and your question will be answered.
