Thats much quicker though!!!!
Think if you took half the bolts out of your truck... talking .1-.11 second quicker.......

Well if you could make it to the burnout box....

6 is more than enough... you have a crossmember and dowell pins to hold the rest

lol, i dunno how i feel about leaving a few bolts out. i'll prolly take the intake manifold off, its not like im in any rush to drop the tranny, i just took out everything from the truck that was in the way, crossmember, ory, driveshaft, etc. I dont see what the big deal is about the pacesetter ory. i heard stories of people having hell getting them off. in some instenses (sp) people actually cutting it off. mine came off as easy as it slips together. took all of about 3 minutes to take off the y-pipe. guess im just super strong!!! anyways hopefully i can knock it all out tomorrow or friday. all thats left is to unbolt the tranny and that bitch is out

two things fellas.....

one why are you all having trouble with the top three bolts? I had no problem at all....all you have to to is get the front croos member out of the way and let the **** hang a low as the motor mounts will let it-easy access to them....

second i found a little trick to get the trans off the motor a bit easier....

take a regular jack and jack under the oil pan to help level the engine and tranny....take a tranny jack(or whatever you all use) and jack it under the tranny and take a ratchet strap to it.....then with a small pry bar get into the hole where the starter (dont use the flywheel) pry that **** apart!!!

I just pulled my tranny two days ago. Mush easier than pulling the manifold off.
